Funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by IndyACT in partnership with the Marine and Coastal Resources Program at the Institute of the Environment, University of Balamand, the project aimed to validate and update existing biodiversity lists of the four main taxa, Mammals Mammalia), Birds (Aves), Reptiles (Reptilia) and Insects (Insecta) through field surveys and to shed light on their biological significance and patrimonial value within Lebanon's nature reserves.
