Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon

SPNL is a national Lebanese NGO established in 1986, specializing in research based management of protected areas, capacity building and environmental education. After long experience working on nature reserves with government agencies, SPNL is currently leading in the revival of the traditional HIMA concept promoting the sustainable use of natural resources. SPNL is a member of BirdLife International, IUCN, MedWet, Med Forum, Lebanese Environment Forum.
