The Syrian Society for the Conservation of Wildlife

The initiative to setup the Syrian Society for the Conservation of Wildlife (SSCW) came to life when a team of national experts was established in Syria by Project led by the UNDP to study Biodiversity and Protected Areas in Syria in 2002-2003. Wildlife experts agreed to establish a specialized NGO for the conservation of wildlife in Syria.
